| + | === Creating Workout Playlists === | ||
| + | |||
| + | The first step in creating a workout play list is to find all the music files that are within a given range of your workout pace. To do this, you first have to click the 'Make Workout Playlist' tab. Once you do that, you define a range of BPM values that you are interested in finding. The example image below shows a search for all songs that have a value of 50 beats per minute (arrow A) or are within a range of 40 beats per minute from that value (arrow B). After you set these two values, you can click the 'Find Tracks' button (arrow C) and all the music files that match the criteria you have requested will be displayed as shown below. | ||

| + | |||
| + | The above example is a bit contrived since you would probably search for a narrower range (unless you use the Repacer software, which can change the pace of music files whose tempo is not close to your desired workout rate). | ||
| + | |||
| + | Note that you can sort any row in ascending or descending order by clicking the title of the column. | ||
| + | |||
| + | At this point you can select which music files you wish to be added to your workout play list. You do this by simply checking each music file that you want to add to the play list (arrow 1 in the above image). As you do this, you will see the playing time of the play list being updated (arrow 2 in the above image), so you can monitor if the play list is long enough for the workout you are creating it for. | ||
| + | |||
| + | When you're done selecting the songs for your workout play list, click the 'Save Playlist' button. A window similar to the one below will appear: | ||

| + | |||
| + | At this point, you decide on which order you would like to listed to the music files that you have selected in the previous step. Changing the order displayed in the above image is very simple - just drag a specific song title up or down to the location you wish it to be in the play list. | ||
| + | |||
| + | When you are happy with the order of the play list, click the 'Next >>' button shown in the above image, and a window similar to the image below will appear: | ||

| + | At this point, enter details that will help you find this play list should you search for it in the future as shown above. You also have an option to save the play list immediately to your disk or audio player device by checking the appropriate box as shown. | ||
| + | |||
| + | If you decide to save the play list to your disk or your mp3/wma player device, you will be presented with the following screen: | ||

| + | Click the 'Select Destination' button (arrow 1) to select where to save the play list music files to (this is where the original files that were detected and selected will be copied to and named in a way that will match their playing order). After you select the destination for the files to be copied to, the destination path will appear where arrow 2 points to in the above example. | ||
| + | |||
| + | Next, click the 'Copy' button (arrow 3) and the progress indicator (arrow 4) will display what percent of the file copy has been completed. When the copying is complete, the copy window will close. | ||
