BeatScanner - Usage Overview

BeatScanner is intended to find music titles that best fit your workout and then create playlists from the titles you found.

The basic procedure is:

	* Scan your music files to detect the tempo of your songs
	* Create one or more play lists that you can then store on your disk or mp3 device for your next workout
	* Finally, you can submit the information (tempos you found and play lists you’ve created). Apart from the nice feeling you’ll get by contributing…

Known issues & bugs:

	* On occasion, when a lot of files are scanned the process seems to get stuck on a certain file (you see the progress bar stuck while processing a certain file). This is being looked into. In the meantime, the fastest solution is simply to close the BeatScanner application and start it again. All the files that were scanned already are saved to the databse so the scanning will continue from the point it was stopped.
	* Pressing the Escape key on your keyboard will close …

Submitting your BPM information and recommended playlists

To get to the Recommend Playlists page, click the ‘Recommend Playlists’ tab.

After you have scanned your files and found the BPM of each music file, or after you have created workout play lists from your music file as described in the Scan and Create sections, you can submit this information to the public BestWorkoutMusic database. From version 1.4 this will enable you and others to share knowledge about the best workout playlists …
